Valley of Vultures

Yolyn am, also known as the Vulture Valley, is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of southern Mongolia. The valley is named after the Lammergeier, which is called “Yol” in Mongolian. The Lammergeier is an Old-World vulture, hence the name is often translated to “Valley of the Vultures” or “Valley of the Eagles.”
The bone eating vulture can live up to 45 years. it builds its nest above 1700 meters and can soar until 7500 meters.
A cold stream flows through the valley leaving ice traces through the winter. its remaining's are still kept in the heart of the mountain all year round.
